September 17, 2012, Pembroke, Massachusetts, Pembroke Community Media Center, Inc. (PCMC) spent Friday, September 14, 2012 at Pembroke Country Club capturing the fun and activities of the Prom Angels Golf Classic. 
Prom Angels is a tax-exempt, non-profit foundation entering its 5th year of service. “I was motivated by people's ignorance of the special-needs community,” said Kevin McKenna, President and Founder, “and felt I had to make changes to improve their quality of life."“Our Foundation's mission is to provide safe, fun and socially empowering activities for people with special needs. Sporting activities, holiday parties and the Special Needs Prom define both our purpose and focus, and are supported by a network of committed staff, volunteers and local business communities.”
The golf tournament, dinner, and auction were hosted by Pembroke Country Club owner and NHL star Jeremy Roenick, and sponsored by local businesses to raise money for Prom Angels events held in and around the Plymouth County area. Noted Golf Classic guests included Red Sox legend “Gentleman Jim” Jim Lonborg, State Senate President Therese Murray, and 6th Plymouth District State Representative candidate Josh Cutler.
The next Prom Angel function is an October 28th Halloween Party from 4-7 pm also being held at the Pembroke Country Club.
