Historic Series ~ The Parade of 1987: Pembroke's 275th Anniversary Celebration

Pembroke, Massachusetts' incorporation in 1712 is celebrated with this 275th Anniversary parade down Mattakeesett Street.  Be entertained by horses, emergency vehicles,  and our own high school marching band complete with black top hats.

Have fun comparing this parade to the current 300th anniversary parade from September 23rd, 2012.

Interestingly enough, some of the same Pembroke Community Media Center volunteers who rode in Pembroke Community Media Center's yellow 1969 Oldsmobile Cutlass convertible parade car the 300th Parade,   filmed, edited, produced and were volunteers back then for the 275th celebration taping and presentation.  We are most thankful for their dedication.

Pembroke Community Media Center takes pride in Pembroke's oral and visual heritage, and is proud to    offer this historic show for all to enjoy.   Click Here to travel back 25 years to see who you can remember and recognize.
