NO CRINKLING CANDY WRAPPERS AT THIS SUNDAY SERVICE

Pembroke First Church - October 28, 2012 ~

Warning: If you like the irritating sound of candy wrappers crunching in your ear, this video is not for you!

'Ever wish you could participate in a full church service in half the time? This condensed upbeat and reverent version of Sunday Service at The First Church in Pembroke is up your alley.

We begin with Choir members singing while walking up the aisle to their seats. Then it's Pastor Richard Giragosian's turn to wish us a “Good morning.  Please join in the Call to Worship.”

As Pastor Rick speaks, you can read his positive words written across the screen. “God accepts us, and fills us with the Holy Spirit.”

During children's participation time, a young boy explains that Halloween is a time to “go to a house and say trick-or-treat, then they give you candy.”  Another boy says that “some people might just give you a little toy matchbox car.”

Next is a brief and moving solo by Jay Althouse. “More like you Lord....your spirit dwells in me.”

Today's sermon is about saints.

We close with two cute-as-pie young children extinguishing the alter candles.
