“The 2nd Meeting House in Pembroke” is also the “First
Church in Pembroke,” existing on the same spot in town center for 300 years. CLICK HERE to see an original letter
dated September 8, 1856. It's framed and hanging on the back wall of
the sanctuary protected by a thin sheet of glass.
Be a part of this December 24th, 2012, 300th
Anniversary Christmas Eve celebration, and see how pretty it looks in the dark
with only candles burning while people sing “Silent Night.”
“This is my favorite time of the year,” current pastor
Richard Giragosian says to his congregation, “not just because it's Christmas,
but because all our young adults are back from college and other places, and
leading us in this service. They lead us by reading the Scriptures and lighting
the candles up on the alter that you see, lighting our Christ candle as well.”
