Ever
wonder what happens when someone keeps having birthday parties year after
year? You guessed it. A lot of candles are blown out and a ton of
cake is eaten.
"Louise
Keeps Having Birthday Parties" is an eight-minute walk down memory lane
showcasing 2002 photos from Louise Tanderes's 80th birthday party at The
Council on Aging. The pictures were
taken by Florence Angley's granddaughter, Jamie. The two of them arranged the
entire surprise celebration.
To
make sure the birthday girl didn't suspect a party was coming, Florence kept
her friend Louise occupied the entire day before, and did no preparing for the
event. Florence was 87 at the time.
Mary Willis, Director of The Council on Aging,
provided the party venue 10 years ago.
This
year's celebration will be at the Pembroke Library on Sunday December 2nd from
1pm to 4. Louise wants people to stop in for a visit, and says "Oh, don't
bring any presents. Just bring
yourself."
